Day of the Dead...

What a day, how great you stay up late the night before, then wake up the next day and actually make yourself look worse then you already do! Zombie Pub Crawl equals greatness. The day started at 2.00 p.m. at the Waxy O'Connors' pub in Leicester Square from there we were suppose to go from pub to pub with other fellow zombies every 45 minutes till we hit all twelve!
The night was suppose to end early around 9.15 p.m., which it did not. We went pub to pub but not on the time schedule that was handed to us, by time Lisa and I made it to the tenth pub it was midnight, and we were hungry and wanted to try to catch the tube before it closed. That didn't matter the day was great. We turned out to be the only American Zombies there and got a lot of attention and some drinks for it. Also we met tons of locals which has seemed to be very difficult during my stay here in London.
Lisa and I attempting our scary zombie faces...

....trying not to smile

I teased my hair, and tried not to smile in this picture as well, which is hard to do!

Look closely at these two pictures, there was a mirror at one the pubs we went to and when you looked in it, it was all just zombies lining up for drinks! It looks pretty neat!

The tentative schedule for the day:
2.pm - Waxy O'Connors, Wardour Street
2.45pm - Crooked Surgeon, Lisle Street
3.20pm - Yates, Leicester Square
4pm - The Exchange, Gerrard Street
4.40pm - All Bar One, Whitcomb Street
5.20pm - Moon Under Water, Leicester Square
6pm - Bok Bar, Bedford Street
6.40pm - Punch and Judy, Covent Garden
7.20pm - Walkabout, Maiden Lane
7.40pm - Slug and Lettuce, Upper St Martins Lane
8pm - Bar 38, Long Acre
8.30pm - O'Neils, Wardour Street

Here are just some other Zombies we happened to meet as well!

Love this picture!!

Ok, we were so done looking serious, because it was all just so fun!

What a Spooktacular Evening...

Halloween in London, well it was bit of a chaotic morning, since we weren't sure exactly what we were going to be. Like everything else in London it all came together, Lisa and I woke up early (ok early for us, about 10 a.m.) and headed over to the local Asda, which is European brand Wal*Mart, to find something. We already had the masks which Lisa made, one night instead of homework, but we didn't have a way of holding them up or what exactly they were going to make us. Well to make a long chaotic morning short we got everything we needed and decided we were peacocks!
To start our Spootacular evening we headed down to the Docklands to walk through a Jack the Ripper exhibit. Which was cool it was packed with letters from Jack, pictures of his victims, and police reports. Not realizing how long we actually spent in there we hurried back to scarf down some dinner, shower and head out for the evening.
We planned on going to a club called Koko but the line was to long, especially when coats were not part of our fancy wear! So everyone ended up breaking into their own groups and doing their own thing, I ended up at Zoo Bar!
Though I don't really have any pictures of our destinations, I do have a few of the fancy wear and people I spent the evening with!
Peacocks!...kinda?

...and one was a day early for the Zombie wear, also the room was small and couldn't get everyone in the picture!

My awesome clay mask, thanks to Lisa

Mita, Lisa and I at Zoo Bar, though you can't tell!

...well before we went out for the evening with a fellow peacock, Shannon.

When in Milano be a Milano

Pictures just do not do a justice, but here are a few more of the weekend. Actually there are a lot more but don't worry I will only tease you with a few...

This was to the left of the Duomo and inside had stores like Mercedes, Gucci, a Gucci Cafe, well lets just say pretty windows.

This is the backside of the same building above

MMM... Gellatio!

We weren't lost, I promise, we were just trying to figure how to say something...

Finally, good Italian food!

Oh just at dinner again with a simple little backdrop.

On Top of the World!

What a spectacular view, and lucky weather!

Getting to this point is wasn't scary because it was a windy staircase on the inside of the building, but when we had to climb the staircase that was outside to the top my knees were shaking a bit. All worth it though.

Milano!

Just taking in the view.

To the Duomo

Ah, the Duomo, looks straight out of a fairytale. Our hotel was about 3 blocks from the Duomo. Fortunately there was shopping and gellatio extremely close as well! So here are some shots of the outside and scroll down for the inside. Check out all the details!

The Inside: So these pictures did not turn out spectacular because I turned the flash off I wasn't sure if I was suppose to take pictures.

Next, to the roof!

Detour to Italy

Alright, so its been nearly a month I am finally posting pictures from Italy, but let me tell you there are a lot to sit and go through. So I am going to try and take you through the weekend bit by bit. Here are some shots from my first few hours there. There was three of us that went to Milan and we had a hotel in within walking distance from the Duomo which you will also see tons of pictures of, shortly. We had quite an adventure getting to Milan, one missing their flight, another getting their luggage searched, and well me trying act like a European citizen so I didn't have to pay an extra fee but got caught and stopped at the gate. Though we had some difficulties we all made it there and had a great weekend and easy trip home!

The streets were cobblestone everywhere, and everyone seemed to walk, take the bus, or drive motorcycles!

Thought the wires were so cool through out the city.

A view from our lunch table outside on the sidewalk.

The cans were so tall!

Oh, just looking out the hotel room.

Street shot!

Hop, Skip, Jump to Germany!

Germany is beautiful, though I'm guilty of not capturing all the beauty while I was there! It was so great to have family around, especially since I haven't seen them in forever, and for Kristof literally forever! It was a weekend of delicious food and putting everyone to the test of language translation. I clearly failed that test the second my foot stepped in the country, three years of German out the window. I attempted to take a few shots so take a look!!

I went out with Shona and Jelka and they took me to the Rhine River and then this statue which they said they come here to watch fireworks every year. We got to climb up the statue so below are pictures of inside and the view from on top.
I snapped a shot after our dinner, which was lamb. Then I headed back to London. But they were completely against me taking the picture....oops.

Ok so subtract the fog and imagine this around you 360 degrees, and there is what I saw of Germany in a nutshell! So pretty. Promise I'll take more pictures on my next trip over!
